IV. Text

Has anyone heard from Hakuba lately? He's been meeting with me the past few weeks to help me with my classwork... but he never showed up last weekend. And whenever I try to text him, he doesn't write back.

(ooc: Hurp, durp. Name mess up. |D;)

Hakuba-kun is . . . ?

Well.

I guess it's better.

I guess... As long as he went back.

[But it doesn't mean a part of her can't be a little selfish and wish he hadn't, right? And not just because she just lost her tutor.]

He wasn't happy here.

Not like any of us are, but . . .

This place changed him. His life at home isn't anything like the one here.

Was it really that bad?

[She... can't quite fit the pieces together to understand that. Give or take, she's still bothered that she's taken over someone else's life, but it's... not really so bad to her. Better than the Organization, admittedly.]

Well, at home he's a respected detective. I mean . . . so respected that the police ask for him, even though he's still in school like Kaito and me. He's British and he dresses well and never gets into trouble.

Everything that was completely different than it was here. It must have been a stretch for him to fit into this life, and though he didn't really say so . . . I think he was unhappy.

I should have talked to him more. I should have tracked him down and made him talk to me.

[Honestly, some of the information goes over her head, but Xion isn't completely clueless to understand that apparently it was a difficult lifestyle change for him apparently. And part of her feels a little guilty... but also a little relieved.]

I can't really say what he was or wasn't. I didn't really get to know him very well before now. But... It's not your fault. It's this place that put him there. ...And now he's back home, so he should be happy at least. Right?
