- I arrived in Japan ok. Despite having to stay in the ultra boring San Francisco airport for 3 hours. The flight itself was long and tiring. I can't sleep at all in an upright position.
- When we got to Osaka, I promptly lost my luggage on one of the trains. Thankfully a very helpful man in the Osaka station was able to locate it in nearby Kyoto. We traveled to that station and were greated by two gentlemen saying my name. I verified that it was my luggage and we were finally on our way to the hotel.
- The Helloween/Gamma Ray show was really good. Gamma Ray was slightly better than Helloween because I knew more of the songs and they had a touch more energy overall.
- Speaking of Gamma Ray, Kai managed to make me cry by playing "The Silence" in their set. As soon as I heard the opening feedback, the tears started to flow. I can't explain what it feels like watching a band you love play your all time favorite song. I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. In fact, I even yelled out "thank you" and "I love you" at the beginning and end of the song. I doubt Kai heard me but I couldn't help it. *blushes*
- Andi surprised me at being a good entertainer with the audience. He was constantly trying to get us to sing on just about every song. Though he lost points with me at not going anywhere besides the middle of the stage. All the rest of Helloween moved around from side to side but he didn't. Considering I was standing on the right side, I was less than amused.
- Since I was standing on the right side, I figured I was a shoo-in to be in front of Henjo. Wrong. They switched places on me and I ended up in front of Dirk instead. I should have looked for the keyboard stand since Henjo always stands by the keyboardist. This means that I didn't get a chance to see Kai that much since he doesn't travel to Dirk's side as much as Henjo's. The bright side is, if they stay this way for the Tokyo show then I should be in front of Henjo :D
- Speaking of Kai, he and Dirk are so cute together. During "Valley of the Kings" they sing together at the end and they were within inches of each other. I couldn't see Dirk's reaction to Kai singing at him since his back was towards me but Kai had a grin on his face five miles wide. TSF ;)
