Awards and such
- As I previously posted, my cousin Christina came over last night to watch the BET awards show. In fact, it was still recording when I went to bed. All the post stuff went on until 2am. Anyway, about midway through it she asked me if she could do my dishes. I, of course, gave her an odd look. I mean, how many people ask you that when they come to visit? She insisted even after I tried to talk her out of it. Though instead of just doing the dishes, she proceeded to clean my whole kitchen beforehand. The whole thing is now shiny which is freaking me out. I guess I like the lived in look (aka the messy look) better ;)
- Before heading home on Tuesday, I stopped by the library to drop off books and to pick up two more. I got The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on audio book and Stephen Fry's book Making History. I've already read the THGTOG but the audio book is read by Stephen. Yeah well, you know. Ironically when I got home, another Stephen Fry book was waiting in my mailbox. It was his autobiography Mab is my Washpot which should be an interesting read. Though supposedly it's laid out a lot like the book The Liar. In other words, switching back and forth in the time line.
- Speaking of Stephen, I finally got a chance to see the end of Episode 1 of QI. It was listed on Youtube but it didn't seem to want to play yesterday. It's the one where Hugh Laurie guests on. He doesn't say much but what he does it's funny. I just wish QI played in the US. It's already on DVD but they don't sell it outside of Europe. It doesn't help matters that I see the people on his website gushing about it every couple minutes. Buggers :(
