X-Men III
Well I met up with Dew to see X-Men III at Pacific Place. The theatre was pretty crowded but we managed to find some seats. The Ghost Rider preview looked pretty good. As for the movie itself, well it was interesting. I had to just pretend that it was a made up story with the character names because it didn't come anywhere close to the comics. Or even the cartoons.
Judging by the end of the last movie, you'd think the main focus of this one would have been the Phoenix Saga. Well it was kind of. Yeah Jean reappeared as the Phoenix but that was about it. No backstory at all. Then there's what they did to the 3 main cast members. No, I'm not going to tell you which ones but they sure picked the ones you weren't expecting. Mainly the story revolved around Worthington Industries who had developed a cure for the mutant gene. Basically changing mutants who are injected into normal humans.
Beast looked good though. He kicked some serious ass towards the end. Juggernaut looked a little odd. They could have done his helmet a little better. It looked like a giant doughnut on his head. Be sure to stay until the end of the credits as an important thing happens :)
