Writing, writing, and more writing
What have I been doing since Tuesday? Take a look at the subject like. That pretty much sums up what I've been doing.
A simple idea for a story sprawled out of control for the last five days. It's done, thankfully, and now I get to edit the sucker.
8822 words was the final word count on five days of work. That comes out to 1764 words per day. That's not normal for me. The only time I can churn out numbers like that is when it's during the month of March for Biffno. It was like I was possessed or something.
Then again, the muses basically ruled the whole thing. They spouted out whatever and did what they wanted. Several times while I was writing it I said to myself, "Where the hell did that come from? Why are you doing that all of a sudden?"
And like a truly messed up writer, I just let them do it anyway. If they wanted to lock up their bandmates in a tour bus bathroom, who am I to say they can't?
Though I will tell you that some of the dialogue and flashbacks are some of the more darkest I've ever written. They frightened me a lot of times at how this one person suffered though such horrible things and kept coming back for more. *shudders*
