While chatting on the ProgPower forum, I realized that I've been a Savatage fan for 20 years this year. I find it mind boggling that it's been so long since I first saw "Gutter Ballet" on the Headbanger's Ball in 1989.

Hell, next year will be 25 years of listening to Metal in general O_O

That got me thinking about all of the bands that I listen to and how long I've listening to them. The longest of the ones that I still listen to:

Keep in mind that I'm 33 years old. Most of those bands I got into before I was even in high school ;)

You'll notice that none of the bands that I yammer about currently are on that list. The reason is that I've only been a fan of them for a short time.
