Several people are yammering about pseudonym on the metafandom.
One person, tacky_tramp, said to search for your pseudonym and your real name together to see how many times they come up. Mostly to see if your pseudonym has ever been linked to your real name. I assume to protect you from your grandma finding out that you write smut or something.
Well I was curious, so I searched three different ways on Google: with just my pseudonym, with just my real name, and with of them. Here's the results:
rdyfrde - 12,700
Heather ******** - 419,000
rdyfrde & Heather ******** - 84,600
I already knew that "rdyfrde" would come up a lot since I use it for the 15-20 forums I belong to. And I already knew my real name would come up a lot. It's very common which is a nice advantage concerning security.
Though it is a little disconcerting that my real name & rdyfrde show up that much. Especially since one of them was a merchant I bought stuff from, who for some reason signed me up to their forum. That I'll be fixing later today. You don't list out my address and real name on a damn forum!
