Story Idea
I've been starting to think of ideas for Biffno this year. Last year I got lucky with my ode to Battle Royale but this year I haven't thought of much at the moment.
Though this morning I got the idea of having a person try to change an event in the past, only to fail and have it happen anyway. Yeah it's been done before in HG Wells' book Time Machine and the movie Butterfly Effect but I wanted to try it myself. And I don't think it's ever been done in a bandfic way, at least not with the Power Metal boys that I know of.
The only thing is, to whether it should start right after the event happens 13 years ago or have it happen in present day and have the "hero" go back in time from there. It opens all sorts of possibilities to play with if I set it in present day because I can make up new paths for the characters to do.
There's also the fact of how to get the main character back in time. He's a musician not an inventor, so how would he end up with something like that? I've done the dream thing already so I don't want to go down that route. Maybe something from a fan? *ponders*
