Freaky
I was looking at my concerts spreadsheet and I've attended 12 shows this year. That's the most in one year for me ever. The closest the previous years came was in 1997 & 2004 with 7 shows. Freaky.
And yet, I'm not done yet. I have Turisas next Monday (Nov 3rd) opening for the craptastic Dragonforce and Trans-Siberian Orchestra later that same week on Saturday (Nov 8th).
I'll probably attend the Seattle Men's Choir at some point as well. Though I don't know when the shows are.
I would have had two more: Dream Theater & Children of Bodom. I skipped DT in May because I was feeling sick. As for COB, I had to leave when the opening band was playing because both of my feet were cramping and making it unbearable to stand :(
2009 already has two possible shows: Alestorm and Bang Your Head. I'm going to try to drag Christi to the Alestorm one because I've heard they put on one hell of a show (I missed them at Wacken). The Bang Your Head festival in Germany is a possibility since it's way cheaper than Wacken (BYH-65 Euros, Wacken-130 Euros) and it's got a better lineup at the moment: Alestorm, Blind Guardian, and Y&T. In fact, the Blind Guardian forum is thinking of attending that one which means I might not have to camp alone. Always a good thing :)
