[As the communicator comes to life, there's pounding on the door's surface and jiggling of a doorknob.]

Gargh! I can't get in my room! I don't want to have another night sleeping in or on luggage either.

[There's more pounding before there's a groan and she gives up, sitting down on the ground, mumbling to herself.]

I wish I still had my pick

[Perhaps Cat didn't want to bug crew, but that didn't mean her situation would go unnoticed, or ignored.]

Where are you, hm? I will come and open your door, jans.

I'm with a friend, I can head back to my room if need be. Its on deck 12, room 1251.

There's no rush. My name is Siran, I am crew. Call for me when you're ready and I will come unlock your door for you, alright?

Its nice to meet you Siran and thank you very much.

I'm almost there, so it won't be much longer.

[The Mithra moved towards her room and moved the make-shift bed she had made out of the luggage. Of course fixing everything she made a mess out of before putting them back in their piles. She was humming a bit of a familiar tune to herself.]

[quesiransiran]

[Siran seemed to be deeply absorbed in whatever was on the screen of his comm as he turned the corner and made his way down the hallway. He looked up when he was several feet away, and gave Cat a dazzling smile.]

You must be the cat that needs in from the cold, yes?

[She stopped and stood up, brushing her knees off then her hands. Turning to Siran.]

Yes, I am. I can't tell you how grateful I am for you to help me out.

[quesiransiran]

The pleasure is mine. I've had little opportunity to take myself into passenger decks to get to know you all, so I hope you won't take it amiss that I'm glad you were locked out of your room.

[Siran carefully tucked his comm into his pocket and fished his keycard out instead. With his right hand, he reached out, offering his hand to shake with Cat's.]

[She reaches out and shakes Siran's hand with a nod.]

No offense taken. So what do you do on board?

[quesiransiran]

[He shook her hand once, gently, then bent low and brought it up to his lips. He placed a chaste touch of his lips just below her knuckles. He straightened after and released her hand carefully.]

I am the cabin boy. I do a bit of everything that needs doing, including opening doors for ladies.

[Speaking of which, Siran should probably open her door. He took the keycard in his other hand and leaned over toward her door, placed his card in the lock, and watched as the little light turned green and the lock opened for her.]

There you are.

[She blinks in surprise but she can't help the blush forming on her cheeks.]

Ah, that's very interesting and thank you again.

[She quickly moves to the door before it closes on her again.]

Does that include maintance work or is that Baij's job too?

[The blush is charming really, and Siran is enough of a gentleman to not comment on it.]

It's my pleasure.

[He stepped out of her way so she could get to her door and open it.]

I'm afraid my work doesn't involve maintenance unless you include things like replacing light bulbs and tightening loose screws that hold up the hand-railing in the stairways. Tedious, trivial tasks that no one wants to do are most often assigned.

[He doesn't seem bothered by this.]

[She gave a nod.]

I see, well if you ever have some free time I wouldn't mind chatting some more. I should head back to my friend's and make sure he's not so worried about me.

[There's a small chuckle.]

[quesiransiran]

[He nodded back, giving her another smile.]

As you like, jans. Is your keycard inside?

[He wouldn't leave until he knew she had a way of getting into her room once more.]

[She quickly darts inside and finds it before coming back.]

Yep! Its here, like it should be!
