'By George she's done it!'
I GOT IT!
I got the job! I am so so so happy and excited right now - I mean, this is what I want to do with my life. I can actually make money off my violin. Okay, so it's not perfect. Yet. The guy who runs the music school is this sweet older Indonesian man (I will never get over how happy Indonesians get when they hear you speak even a bit of their language) and he told me on the spot that he wanted to offer me the position, starting this week. Only problem is, he wants me to do Saturdays. Which coincides with my shift at the pharmacy - so I'll have to reshuffle it. At least he did say that if I do a couple of weeks and speak to the parents, I might be able to change days. He was also really pleased to hear I can also teach piano - so I may end up with another day as well. I really want to do this, so off to speak to Dad I go...
I've just come off the high of an epic day yesterday too. Which cancelled out the ugh-ness of Saturday (at work, shift dragged, felt ill, slept for 4 hours when I got home...). Yesterday I actually got up at a reasonable time for a Sunday, got organised, did some violin work - not much but it's something, before pebblegosling arrived. Snuggle_monster joined us soon afterward. What did we get up to you ask? Well, the firstly pebblegosling was 'educating' me about various youtube channels that I would find amusing, and sure enough we were giggling pretty quickly. I love this song in particular, he's so cute and it cracks me up. His challenge was to make music using everyday/inanimate objects. One of which was a fricking IRON. AND THE WINE GLASSES! SO EPIC!
After that, we decided to catch snuggle_monster up with Glee. Which, as always, lead to much laughter and choruses of 'aww's.
Then, pebblegosling and I showed just how amazing / awesome/musical-obsessed we are. We sang through the majority of La Vie Boheme from Rent. In case people aren't sure why this is a feat and a half, it has the most lyrics of almost any song I've ever heard, and a decent pace, and is usually sung by an ensemble cast of about 8 people. And when we did have to stop, it wasn't because we didn't know the words - we were literally out of breath. It was so much fun. I think snuggle_monster was fairly impressed...
We decided to go out for dinner, ended up with good food and silly conversation. The funniest thing of the entire night happened walking back from the restaurant to the car. Okay well almost, but the funniest thing was related to it. snuggle_monster does this voice. It's low, and croaky, and altogether plain creepy. Even more so considering she's not the tallest or the biggest person around. It was so incongruous. I have not laughed like that in a while. Stomach clenching, tears rolling down my face, can't breathe type laughter. We were all doing it too. God, it was hysterical. Naturally, it got better. Once we got back home, pebblegosling decided to show off her own voice talents. That is, she does this adorable high and squeaky voice. Funny and cute enough on it's own, she laughs in it and it's SO ADORABLE. But wait, there's more. I can't believe they let me take video evidence of this. They both kept going with the voices - but started singing 'I Feel Pretty' from West Side Story. I can't even tell you how hilarious that was. It was pure brilliance. My stomach didn't stop hurting for a while XD XD XD
On top of this, our brains just got stuck in the gutter so to speak. Completely. We were giggling all night because there were so many sexual innuendos.... some intentional, some accidental. *shakes head* Damn we're awesome.
I'm laughing just thinking about all that.
Now, I shall finish this meme.

Now, I know this is something I've posted about before to my lovely f-list, but my challenge to myself was to keep this meme public. It's a really hard thing for me to admit, actually, although it may not seem it. I always feel silly saying it as I am still very young - but it's the closest word to describe how I feel on occasion. Don't get me wrong, I love my friends and my family, and as you can see from this post I'm not unhappy - it probably just stems from the years I spent without friends, and the way I still get down on myself and being scared about the unknown entity that is 'the future'.
I think I'll leave that thought there - and yes, I really am fine for those wondering!

PS. Congratulations to Chris Colfer on winning the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor on a TV show, TV movie or mini series!! Eeee! So well-deserved, he is an amazing actor. He also looks gorgeous in that suit. Whoa.
