Dear CD Alarm Clock makers,
I would like to bring to your attention a potential safety issue with the Sony lkjlkjk model.
As of course you know, that model has a function that allows you to push a button and enjoy an endless repeat of a CD that you place in the radio. This function has been a boon to parents everywhere who are so tired they cannot remember what songs they know to sing to their children. I consider myself fairly skilled at children's music, and I still find great value in this function, as I can put on music that I would not think of singing, as well as music that is far beyond my range and ability to memorize.
I am not sure if you realize that there is an inherent flaw in your system that creates a significant safety breach. If a tired Papa-bean pushes this repeat button twice, he sets the whole CD up, and in fact Mama-bean is quite pleased as she knows just how sleepy her baby is by knowing about how far into each song they have listened. Additionally, she can keep a rudimentary idea of the passing of time, despite not being able to clearly see the clock or her watch. This is as it should be, and she generally knows at what point a child will fall asleep and can soothe him down onto the family bed alone.
Unfortunately, if the same tired Papa-bean pushes the button just once, the Mama-bean hears "The Marvelous Toy" at least 12 times in a row while being nursed on by a cranky toddler on breasts that have gotten an unreasonable bit of use in the recent past. This is not sane, and it is certainly not safe for the longevity of your product or the longevity of Papa-bean's residency in the home.
Sincerely,
She who just listened to 'The Marvelous Toy' for nearly a half hour.
Papa-bean... you are on notice!!!
