I am uber-bitch-mommy, hear me roar! Manager dude called me back in 20 minutes and surgical scheduler called me back within 10 minutes of getting off the phone with him.
Evan's surgery is scheduled for 2/13. They will call us the day before to set the time, which is, while obnoxious, standard.
Apparently at our last visit they should have given us a briefing and a packet with all the info we needed. I'm sure the gentle reader will be shocked to hear that we did not get this. I did establish that while the guidelines are no food after midnight the night before that clear liquids are OK up to 4 hours before surgery, and breastmilk IS considered a clear liquid. (You don't even want to imagine what my blood pressure would have been had I had to argue about that one.) We're supposed to have the packet by the first week of January.
When this surgery is over, I am going to have a field day writing complaints. We do like his doctor, but good grief this has been a ridiculous process.
