So. In order to try to nudge myself out of my sad bad mood...
To my friends who are parents... tell me about food. Food and your babies, specifically. How old were they when you fed them their first solids? What were their first foods? Why did you choose to introduce solids that early or late? Why did you choose the foods you did? Anything about the whole process you wish you had done differently or would suggest?
I've been thinking about Evan and solid food. I had planned to delay solids as long as possible because... well honestly I'm not sure why other than the fact that the idea of him taking sustenance from anything that isn't me breaks my heart. And that's not a good thing to base decisions on. But recently he's REALLY evidencing interest in what I'm eating. And it's not the same kind of interest he has in everything else. I almost let him knaw on a green bean last night because he was just SO interested in it, but didn't. He's just a few days shy of five months old. I KNOW I'm not doing the traditional baby cereal/food thing, but I'm really a little at a loss wondering how long to wait for finger foods.
