last night
So last night we had access issues at the Greek restaurant we went too. He (one of the owners) claimed he understood what guide dogs were but didn't understand that it's illegal to refuse them in his restaurant. He kept saying "I can't have animals in my restaurant."
I funnily enough had decided to leave my Joy at home so we only had partners dog to worry about. Partner produced the ID card and after still trying to come up with excuses, he was told to read the back where it has the discrimination act number on it. He then reluctantly let us in but we heard him call his father (who was also co-mannager.) He was as nice as pie to us after that.
It left a sour taste in our mouths for a little while but after the yummy food and from then on, excellent service, we will prob go back again.
It was a banquet which we hadn't realized when we booked but in the end, we were very impressed. :)
