slow cooking for my 2600th post
Welcome to my 2600th entry on Livejournal.
And with this, I just wanted to say that while I work all day here, my slow cooker is working up a storm at home; Indeed, this is the first time I've actually cooked with it while out and I was a bit nervous at first, but it's only cooking slow so it should be right.
What is it cooking? well .. it's a bit crowded in there, but there's four lamb shanks (three would have been enough), with potato halves and carrots with a packet of McCormicks garlic and herb seasoning over it; yum; an interesting experiment anyway.
I don't know why I put four shanks in there but I thought the leftover meat would be welcome in lunches and stuff; problem ended up being though that the lid didn't quite fit on properly. I would have happily taken some out but I'd already put the seasoning stuff over it; fail. Still, the gap isn't too great so if anything, hopefully it will just let out some unwanted steam as I may have put a bit much water in there.
Ah well, .. plan to cook other dishes in it on the weekend for my freezer.
And that is all I wanted to say now. Paulette just said that Tan hasn't had her baby yet but all is well which is a relief.
