Controversial survey
This survey will be extremely vague in parts because it's really American, but with the presidents questions, I will try to substitute with our Prime minister/s.
This is stolen from quite a few people on my friends page; namely fayth, shazza59 and pawpower4me.
[01] Do you have the guts to answer these questions and re-post as The Controversial Survey?
If i didn't have the guts, I simply wouldn't be choosing to fill this out, would I? Lol
[02] Would you do meth if it was legalized?
course not. would not do any drugs at all, unless they've been prescribed.
[03] Abortion: for or against it?
Neither. It depends on the individual and the circumstance. eg. if someone was raped, having that memory most likely will be very painful. I don't think society has the right to dictate the rules in that situation.
[04] Do you think the world would fail with a female president?
Because I'm more familiar with the prime Minister, I'm going to answer in terms of her, and, no, to automatically suggest our country wouldn't do well with a female Prime Minister is extremely sexist naturally. Anyway, New Zealand has one! so it's time australia has one yeah! :)
[05] Do you believe in the death penalty?
this is a hard one for me; death is such a foreboding subject. Part of me believes in it yes. You get what you dish out, but, .. there are so many buts! .. one of them being, it's so final that the criminal wouldn't need to deal with what he's done, and maybe even have a chance of possibly repenting.
[06] Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?
No way. we have too many problems with hoons as it is.
[07] Are you for or against premarital sex?
I'm not against it. as a kid I was, but that was my upbringing. to still say I'm against would be highly hypocritical! :) Lol
but apart from that, sex is natural and a part of being so close to the one you love, (at least it is for me). Mariage may never happen for some people, and then what? they miss out?
Even though my situations so far didn't work long-term, if I didn't do it, I'd still be very curious! in saying that, I waited til the right moments with the people i loved and felt close too. If that weren't the case and I just did it with anybody cos my curiosity got the better of me, I'd regret it, but not everyone thinks like that.
[08] Do you believe in G-d?
of course I believe in god, yes! :)
[09] Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?
Absolutely! Who's to dictate who we do and don't love? it's natural for crying out loud! nough said.
[10] Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA?
speaking in terms of them moving to australia. I have a bit of a chip on my shoulder when it comes to any non-English speaking people coming to Australia.
Learn to speak english properly, learn our way of life, and don't expect us to break our cultural/religious beliefs for you!
[11] A twelve year old girl has a baby, should she keep it?
Seems like an easy question, but I guess it's not really. Basically though, twelve-year olds are still kids themselves. Unless i'm overlooking something and unfairly generalizing, none of them would have the maturity to deal with a child.
However, I'm not saying abort it. either adopt it out, or if parents or other family members are willing, keep it.
[12] Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?
it is 18 here, and I don't like it. I like it being 21, like America. again, we have so many problems with kids who abuse it. having said that, they probably would anyway, even if it wasn't legal at 18.
[13] Should the war in Iraq be called off?
Yes! can we please have peace?
[14] Assisted suicide is illegal: do you agree?
My religion says yes, but I dunno;; for people who are in constant pain etc, give them their peace if they want?
[15] Do you believe in spanking your children?
No, I don't think so. but I do believe that society appeared a lot better for it when it use to happen. Now, in my Nan's words, "the world's gone mad", and it's because no-one has respect for anything/each other any more. I do believe this is largely because they get away with way too much as kids because they weren't able to be spanked and therefore, to be taught the lesson they needed.
As a kid, I use to get hard taps. They didn't hurt, though at the time I think I believed they did. they did obviously scare me though, and I would never do the deed again.
so, I actually often wonder if parents should be able to have such control again yes.
[16] Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?
No, not an Ausie one either.
[17] Who do you think would make a better president? McCain or Obama?
No idea. don't know of them well as I don't follow my own politics let alone other countries! Lol!
[18] Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers?
Not at all. as I said in question 1, why would I have done this otherwise.
As a rule, I don't care what people think of me any more. I mean, if they don't like me or what I have to say, stuff em.
