Bakery & Sara Lee & Grain Futures & Drew Barrymore
There is a Bakery Conference downtown this weekend. K-State Baking & Milling students are attending. Sara Lee hires several of these graduates every year from K-State.
We hosted a lunch for the students at the Chicago Board of Trade. So I was downtown today. We brought in lunch for them and there was a presentation about trading of the grains futures (very interesting). Then we did a Sara Lee presentation for the students.
Then we observed the trade floor. We had to clear out early because a VIP was coming in (our guide told us it was Drew Barrymore). He said that she supports the United Nations World Food Program and is getting a special tour.
Anywhoo, so I came home this afternoon to work the rest of the day from home. I turn on Oprah (which I tivo), and guess who was on - Drew Barrymore!
