SO. What's up, doc? I've still been busy busy busy...
I am so very close to being done with my Asari costume that I started on Isabela (and am cosidering Fem!Ash or Poison Ivy for Hallowe'en). What is wrong with me?
Anyway, went to Wizard World/Chicago Comic Con last weekend and saw a lot of celebrities, bought a neat art print, got some graphic novels for amazing prices and hung out with my boy(s) and shiny new con friends.
I also met Felicia Day and (before that) suddenly found myself face to face with James Marsters (who was sitting outside waiting for his car) and I geeked out, lost the ability to speak momentarily and exclaimed "I... LOVE YOU", the hastily ran away, but not before he nodded and said "Thank you." So cool. Part of me is mortified, but all in all I REGRET NOTHING. I mean, I have an action figure of the guy... I HAD PICTURES OF HIM ON MY WALL. Teehee.
I redeemed myself with Felicia Day, though. I can relate to her since she is a gamer and we got her to geek out when we mentioned we had Dragon Age costumes, haha. Awesome.
Oh yeah, and I pretty much was barreled aside by Bruce Campbell and it was EPIC (I must make that fem!Ash costume...) Also took a picture of the BF in a chokehold by Lou Ferrigno. Bwahaha.
We ate sushi at the hotel bar a couple times, which was pretty decent, and then Nick, Kevin and Dale helped me celebrate my birthday by playing Disney Scene It at my house, then going out to Bdubs and eating LEGO cake that Jenny made. Awesome!
This weekend is all costuming and tomorrow night we're going to see Fright Night at Hollywood Blvd for a belated birthday thing. Oh, and I'll probably have to run out to friggin' Orland because my cell phone is being retarded. I thinkt he battery is busted. Then Thursday I'm off to beautiful Seattle for PAX Prime! Where I will be painted blue and finally get to meet the Rooster Teeth guys!
And then up to Wisconsin and Renn. Faire on Labor Day, where I will hopefully have a somewhat finished Isabela.
So far I have had an AMAZING year! But its gone by so fast, I can't believe it's ALMOST SEPTEMBER ALREADY. I really can't wait till after Labor Day so things can slow down and I can play videogames and write again... phew.
