Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
What am I thankful for this year? Hmm... atm I'm thinking, the internet? Sounds kind of bad, considering my love/hate relationship with it, but as I'm sitting here thinking about it, I realize that the internet has 1) made it easier to keep in touch/ communicate with friends & family this past summer, and probably will do so in coming months (it's my main source of stay-in-touch- considering my track record with phones), 2) it keeps me entertained, 3) it brings interesting opportunities to my attention ie. BUNAC. Of course, it is annoyingly addictive... I'm also incredibly thankful to my family for actually wanting to keep me at home, unlike some parents who boot their kids out as soon as they hit 18. O.o Sometimes I wonder how Mom survived while I was away at school, heehee...
Went w/ Anj and saw Jason play some music tonight, which was pretty groovy, though oddly, it was at a Dominick's... v. weird setting.
Just watched "The Blues Brothers," since I've been in the mood for early SNL-type comedy lately. I don't think I ever really sat down to watch that entire movie before (or at least not in a very, very long time) and I've decided that if "Good Omens" is ever made into a flick, they should emulate that entire last car chase through Chicago scene. Especially because of all the crazy, flying car stuff. And man, all the shots of Chicago... and the music... what a great movie. It was made even better because my Dad came and sat down and watched it and he pretty much knows the movie word for word. He was awesome, quoting along with it, then telling me all this behind-the-scenes stuff, slowing it down and analyzing various scenes, and giggling like a little kid. I love it when people really truly just love and appreciate a movie like that. And then he said "Life should be a musical like this" which was also pretty awesome. see, everyone wants life to be a musical, deep down inside.
On a more random note, I just read a little interview w/ James Callis on the BSG finale. UUUMMM... okay. I'm not that into BSG and only watched through the beginning of S3, but why do I have this crazy idea I know how the series is going to end now by his creepy remark about Hitler? Hmmm...
Peace out, people, and eat a lot of delicious foods!
