Apparently Mister Gaiman has been asked to do a rewrite of the Neverwhere movie screenplay he wrote back in 2000 (I believe for Jim Henson's studio). According to his blog, it's basically returned from the dead with a vengeance. This makes me happy.
Good Omens on the other hand... *sigh*
In other literary ponderings, while thinking of the upcoming Harry Potter movie, I wonder who they might cast in the 6th one as Greyback. I've been running over potential, prominent British Actors in my head since the thought occured to me. Tro, I know you might want to discuss this, hahaha...
Here's a list of some I think might be good.
-Jeremy Irons (Scar, from Lion King). The voice + a few prothetics = scary wolf-man. I know Andrea and I discussed him being a potential Sirius back in the day. There's something kinda wolf/doggish about him and he can be disturbingly terrifying.
-Ben Kingsley. Haven't really seen anything with him, but I know who he is and he seems like he could a terrifying wolf-man (though he'd need some hair, hahaha).
-Sean Bean (Boromir, LotR). Might be an interesting character for him to play.
-Hugh Laurie (House M.D.). He's a great actor and I can see him being an evil wolf-man.
-Christopher Eccleston (The Ninth Doctor, Doctor Who). Might just be I'm biased 'cuz he was the Doctor, but I just saw a picture from a new movie he's doing wher ehe's the villain. Long shaggy hair and furry clothing. And he can be scary.
-Bill Nighy (Davy Jones, Potc: DMC&AWE). What sort of supernatural character hasn't he played? His very quirky acting style can be very scary.
There are a few others I though might make an interesting contrast to play a vicious werewolf to their normal roles, but either they seemed to old or too young to play the part. Also, most of the ones I picked are more famous in the states as well as the UK (or some of my personal faves), so I'm leaving out a huge chunk of lesser known British actors, which probably have a better chance of being cast (in my opinion). But there you have it. Anyone else have some ideas?
Also, upon listening to a bit of country music earlier in my sister's car, I realized that no matter how bad your day/week/year may be, the people in country songs have it so much worse, and will make you feel so much better in comparison.
'Cuz Earl had to die...
