stinky_monky gave me an early birthday present a couple weeks ago: an iPod-ready car stereo and four speakers. Unfortunately, one must take the entire door panel off in order to get to the old speaker to change it out. I went out a few days afterwards and tried to pop off a door panel but only succeeded in breaking one of the clips that holds it in place. So I stopped and let it sit for a while as I reformulated a plan. Today I got my determination all up, paid four bucks to an online stereo installer for instructions, and went to work. Two hours later I had all four speakers installed and they sound great.
Unfortunately, as I kept checking the sound quality during the installation, I ran the battery down to the point where I can't start the car. Sigh. Good thing I had nowhere to go today.
