Some of you may find this news shocking. I certainly did. Sex Education classes that emphasize abstinence do not reduce the rate at which students have sex. What an incredible surprise. Students from abstinence-only classes have sex at the same rate as students that do not take those classes. The Bush administration's response is that students need more abstinence training, of course.
But luckily for social conservatives, it will be easier for girls to remain abstinent soon. Scientists have managed to create synthetic sperm cells, so men will eventually be unnecessary. Hmm, happy thoughts....
