Cancer research labs are cool. I'm sitting here waiting for my test results, wearing a white lab coat, and watching my wife "make an overnight inoculation," whatever that means. Something about colonies (not the Jamestown or Roanoke kind of colonies). To my left is a window overlooking a parking garage. To my right is the Denville Scientific Microcentrifuge 210A (the one with blue detailing, you know the one). Further down the counter to my right are huge jugs of something labelled "F" (upon closer inspection they are full of Methanol) and an odd collection of the biggest glass beakers I've ever seen. And hey, that Bunsen Burner is on fire!
I'm not really waiting for any test results. It's just the kind of thing one says when one is sitting in a cancer research lab and desperately trying to not touch anything. Most of the machines in here probably cost more than my entire graduate education.
