The Future is NOW!
Dear Santa,
I've been very good all year, and I only want one present. I want to stop waiting tables and put my education to good use.
So I've spent my entire lunch break today at the Bernie scouring the internet for some sort of job teaching theatre to high school students. I'm already super antsy to get focused on theatre work and teaching as my career trajectory. Don't get me wrong, I like Lilette...but all I really wanna do for the next like nine monts before jetting off to graduate school is teach theatre...acting, history, stagecraft in general, any of it.
Several impediments to this goal:
1. It would have to be a job that somehow became available in the middle of the school year, which is highly unlikely.
2. New Orleans seems to have its fill of theatre educators. At least Craigslist, hotjobs, monster.com, and the like seem to think so.
Santa, if there's any Christmas magic you can muster, I would greatly appreciate it.
