I am one of those who bought the boxed set of the 10 seasons of SG1 dvds this week.  I already owned them all, but the price was such that I thought it worthwhile, in order to get 4 discs of extras that I'd not otherwise seen (the ones that the rest of the world got all along, but we in N. America did not--why do they do that, anyway

Ohh, did you get the box set from Amazon that was on sale? I ordered it, too (and I already have the whole season in individual sets!) but some of the disks wouldn't play (including ALL the special feature disks!) so I sent it back. I'm not going to get a replacement set and take the chance I'll have to send it back again:( I'm so depressed! I wanted to see those darn features that are only available in that set!

Was there anything good Sam and Jack or just RDA related? I remember seeing where he drops his pants, oddly in a vid! LOL! Does the feature reveal exactly why he dropped his pants in front of Amanda and a camera? LOL!

Yes, it was the one day sale. I already owned the 10 seasons but couldn't pass up the chance for the extras, since it was such a bargain. So far, all of mine has played perfectly--I'd just have amazon send you a new set, if I was you.

I have watched all 4 "extras" dvds and they all played fine, and now I'm working my way thru the rest of them and have watched the first 3 discs and they are all fine, so I'm assuming mine are all OK. I hope!

I'd get another boxed set from amazon, really There are some enjoyable extras, just not much very RDA focused. He has his "my life as a mime" which didn't much interest me and his video diary which was on the set of Paradise Lost.

The pants dropping was, I think I read, so he could show his scar from his knee operation, but it is very brief and in one of the Lowdowns. You just see it, there is no talking in that short bit.

I was having trouble with lj--it posted my first comment before I was done, and I thought it had disappeared and so I started over
They do show, in one of the features about Threads, a rehearsal of the "bed" scene with Jack and Kerry, which I enjoyed watching. I liked Kerry. It was amusing to watch the actress, and RDA, fully clothed, laying on the bed talking a bit about the scene.

I think there is an Anakin David site somewhere with a lot of links to RDA video clips and it may even have some of these, if you have high speed internet and want to try there? But I'd just try again with amazon on the boxed set. Mine's all working fine so far.

I figure I don't need to pay $100 for the special features, plus I didn't like the way the set was packaged. Too easy to damage the disks!

I liked Kerry as well and that scene with the actress and RDA talking about the scene had to have been fun!

I'll look for Anakin David's site. I've heard the name before so I'll check it out. Maybe the vids there will satisfy my curiosity:)

after the slash part is each vid, I think, but hopefully that will be enough to let you find it.

It comes up saying something like Cimmeria links to RDA.

Good luck finding it and I hope you find the links. Look for The Lowdown--I think there were 2 of them, but one of them is the one with the pants dropping bit. Someone else may have these available somewhere, too, I don't know.

I don't like the packaging either, and I plan to put all of the dvs\ds into envelopes rather than in those slots. For me, it was worth the money to see the extras I'd had no way to see otherwise, and to have an extra set of all the dvds in case something happens to my first set. Though I think I will try to sell seasons 9 and 10, since I don't care much for those, as there is so little RDA in them.

I ended up finding him as he'd left feedback on an SG-1 story I'd written. I've been downloading the vids off and on all evening and have watched some of them as well. Nice stuff!

Glad you found it and have been enjoying the vids.

I hope you found the Threads "bloopers" on that site, and therefore got to see the small segment I was talking about as having been some behind the scenes with "Jack" and "Kerry".

Looking at that anakin david site just now, I found the RDA and "Kerry" bed scene, it's under SG1 Bloopers and entitled Threads bloopers.

So I hope you can find it and enjoy watching it!
