Wow. I saw the most amazing band last night. I wish someone with a better music vocabulary was there to discribe this band because I don't think I could do them justice. No offence to Nathan and Stephen and The Photo Atlas who I am sure rocked the house down over at the Larimer, this was the best band playing in Denver last night. PARENTHETICAL GIRLS made this evening. Some discribed it as modern glam. Not in the way you think though. It was sad that most of Denver's music know it all's were at other shows and places. I think they would have been blown away. Granted, they would have had to wait through Team Awesome's not so awesome set and 30 min set up (people just started leaving cause they were taking so long to get the fuck on stage).
Oh Fissure Mystic, sound Fissure Fantastic!!!! The first song they played was fucking amazing. I am not a fan of instrument swaping or long down times between sets but the quality of there songs made it worth the wait. These guys get better and better every time I see them. Fezz, is creeping into my Denver top 10 list. That kid has a fucking ear. He knows all the cool beats to play.
