Early in November, while trying to watch an episode of Spongebob Squarepants (the one where Squidward eats a Krabby Patty and becomes an addict... don't judge, it's hilarious 'cause they went to his thighs), my computer decided that six years of living with me was enough and the system broke down. I tried to get it fixed because of my legacy and spare story for the BRRL, but the hard drive was dead. I got a replacement hard drive and installed the base game for the Sims 2. While playing Pleasantview, a thought occurred to me: I've never actually played through all of the neighbourhoods for several generations like others have because I've been so obsessed with EP features and creating my own hoods so I came up with this plan to end my simming with a bang:
1) Play Pleasantview, Strangetown, and Veronaville until the youngest of each neighbourhood has an offspring reaching the same age level as they were to begin with (Beau has a toddler, Buck has a child, and Ariel has a toddler) to unlock the ability to install The Sims 2 University
2) Attach the uni hoods to their respective neighbourhood and do the same process until the children of the youngest have children of same ages to unlock The Sims 2 Nightlife
3) Attach downtowns to each hood, same process to unlock The Sims 2 Open for Business
4) Attach Bluewater Village to Pleasantview, same process to unlock The Sims 2 Pets
5) Place the pet families in neighbourhoods (each must exist in at least 1), same process to unlock The Sims 2 Seasons
6) Add Riverblossom Hills to the process (play until Xander Roth has a child), same process elsewhere to unlock The Sims 2 Bon Voyage
7) Attach vacation destinations, same process to unlock The Sims 2 Freetime
8) Add Desiderata Valley to the process (play until Elizabeth Aspir has a toddler), same process to unlock the Sims 2 Apartment Life
9) Add Belladonna Cove to the process (play until Etsu Cho has a toddler), same process to view the results.
In the end, I would have 9 generations that follow from the original three towns. To be honest, I might play a legacy alongside this in one of them just because of the timing.
Also, the SPs would be attached as such (no real order):
The Sims 2 Family Fun Stuff - when 3 family sims reach their LTWs
The Sims 2 Glamour Life Stuff - when 3 fortune sims reach their LTWs
The Sims 2 Happy Holiday Stuff - when Seasons is unlocked (snow)
The Sims 2 Celebration Stuff - when 3 pleasure sims reach their LTWs
The Sims 2 H&M Fashion Stuff - when 3 popularity sims reach their LTWs
The Sims 2 Teen Style Stuff - when 3 knowledge sims reach their LTWs
The Sims 2 Kitchen & Bath Stuff - when 3 romance sims reach their LTWs
The Sims 2 IKEA Stuff - when 5 businesses reach level 10
The Sims 2 Mansion & Garden Stuff - when 3 fortune sims reach their LTWs
Wish me luck, cause I've already started this challenge for myself and am excited to complete most of it.
