FALL RETREAT RECAP:
First of all the house we stayed at, which was Cara's vacation house, was absolutely amazing. There was nothing to be seen anywhere around it except mountains and trees. I could hear the water of a running river nearby from the deck. The air was so clear, it had to have been better than an oxygen tank, I swear. Cara's parents have to be the nicest people I have ever met.
The first night consisted of an amazing dinner, watching Mary getting tickled while she had to pee, a HILARIOUS game of truth or dare, and encouraging words. 3 of the old leaders said something nice to a new leader, it was really nice and touching. Then everyone said something encouraging to the older leaders.
The next morning we had breakfast, yummy fruits. We laid around and talked about things like our first kiss and how we want our weddings to be until lunch. Lunch was absolutely yummy also... although I can't remember what it was at the moment (dinner that night takes up all my memory space). After lunch we went to a waterfall and slid down it. That was a lot of fun, everyone's butt hurt afterward though. Then we went to the lake and paddled around in paddleboats. The lake was gorgeous. Once we were done we went back to the house and I took a nap outside on the deck, while waiting for a shower to free up. Not long after my shower dinner was ready. Cara's parents had bought steak aged 8 years, that were hung up in silk. Umm, yeah... it was awesome. Her dad marinated it for 45 minutes and cooked it slowly. Making it oh so moist and oh so yummy to my tummy. Along with a yummy baked potato. Miss Sheila (I know that's not how you spell it b/c she's from South Africa) spoke that night. She was def. a good speaker, and a great woman of God.
**The rest of the evening you'll have to ask me outside of livejournal. Needless to say it was something I really really really needed.
Side note: some funny things I learned from Dr. Barnett in my Russian History class. The Russians form of Christianity used vodka instead of wine in Communion, and sex is creative movement.... hahahaha.

We all love dancing... or what we at Lee call 'Creative Movement,' this is Amy Beth and Jill showing off their dancing skills... I must add that my fav. was Jill's mammogram dance... hehe...
