So I learned something new today. You know how gravy's supposed to be bad for you, and full of fat, and whatnot? Well, I actually bought some gravy today to go along with mashed potatoes, and I took the time to look at the nutrition info on the label:

In one 12-oz jar of Giant-brand chicken gravy (regular, not fat-free)

150 calories
2.5g total fat (5%)
0g saturated fat
24g carbohydrates (7%)
0g sugar

as a comparison, in one 12-oz can of Mountain Dew:

170 calories
0g total fat
46g carbohydrates (15%) (all 46g are sugar)

So yeah, disregarding sodium (2g vs 65mg), the two are actually pretty close. So I'ma feel a bit better about eating gravy, and stay far the hell away from Mountain Dew. :D
