Well life has been life as usual. It's so interesting being a mortal and whatnot. It really is. Most of the most interesting stuff that's been going on w/me, I can't post for legal reasons.
Rumor around the office is that I'm slated for a promotion in the next month or so. Seems my current supervisor would like me to fill her position when she moves up. Part of me is really hyped about that. Part of me is terrified knowing that I'll have to manage an entire staff of people who were once my equals AND who are all older than myself. The major benefit would, of course, be making double what I make now, which would be awsome. It might also mean being at the office 6 or 7 days a week which is a bit of a chilling thought, but not as chilling as being poor. I haven't forgotten about the person who got me this job or any of the ppl who've gotten me jobs in these past years. They've all been amazing experiences. I won't forget to pay my respects as soon as I am able to.
With paying respects in mind, I had an old friend who killed himself a year ago on Superbowl Sunday. I found out a short while ago that after nearly a year in limbo he's finally at a proper burial site in New Jersey. As soon as I have a means of getting there I'll go ... and just reflect on things.
I'm still growing my hair out. It's quite a process. It's so much lower maintenance when it's short. As long as it doesn't interfere with work I've decided on the 'afro and aviator sunglasses' look for the summer.
Finally, there are always so so many parties going on and juxtaposed to when I just had to go to every last one, these days I'm finding myself showing some reserve in efforts to make sure that more important things are in check. It's really tough though. In March for example omg ... House/Jungle party at Shelter on March 2nd. Progressive Trance party @ Crobar and Progressive House party @ Pacha on March 3rd. MASSIVE party @ Roseland Ballroom on and also an asian bikini + langire show/party @ Star Nightclub on March 4th. And on March 31st the legandary Sasha and Digweed are gonna be spinning @ Crobar on the same day that my family is supposed to be flying in from Georgia to visit. Not going to these parties is like sinning against myself so I don't know ... maybe I'll go to just one. ... Just one I swear.
