MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Dec 24, 2005 23:50

I find myself just now ready for Christmas. Not gift wise, for this year I am lacking in gifts for everyone that I wanted to get something for. Time passes so quickly... I feel as though Christmas is a week away, yet it's tomorrow.

Today I was out with my mom, finishing those last minute searches and quests. During the course of the day we listened to many a Christmas song... some were just too techno for me to enjoy, others too slow when meant to be up beat. I listened to "Joseph's Lullaby" one of the most amazing songs I've heard. It made me cry. We got home and we all got ready for Mass. In the car, I felt so alive with joy and excitement. I was going to church! To Mass! To celebrate the birth of our Lord!!! How amazing is that?!?!

I hope that when you get caught up in the secular part of Christmas that you regroup and think about what Christmas is really about. Take time to pray for those less fortunate...for those who have lost someone very dear to them... for our soliders and their families... for the unborn... for the elderly who are left in homes to be forgotten... take time to thank God for the blessings in your life, even for the bad things your life for those help make us stronger if we really try to get through it and rely on God.

I hope you all have a blessed and wonderful Christmas!

Merry CHRISTmas
