Happy Friday, Old McDonald Petting Zoo!
This is straight up disturbing. The states compiled a list of "National Assets" to justify the Homeland Security dollars. Guess who was #1 on the list with the most National Assets and receiving the most money?
New York?
Washington, DC?
San Francisco?
Naw...
Indiana? Huh? What?
*ding ding ding* that’s right, Indiana is the most likely target for a terrorist attack, therefore they must be appropriated the most Homeland Security dollars.
The Old McDonald Petting Zoo, unnamed doughnut shops, mortuaries... Indiana has it all and obviously the Piggly Wiggly must be protected!
Who would have thought that a huge department level appropriation would be full of pork? I know that I wouldn't have, I mean if you can't trust the government with your money then who can you trust?
Oh and if you're wondering why Indiana seems to be one of the biggest benefactors for these dollars, it might have something to do with their governor being George W. Bush's OMB director.
