The Home Stretch

So, after a non-lengthy three-day weekend at home for Easter, I'm back at school for the home stretch. Eight more weeks until I'm home free for the summer; possibly the last summer I'll ever spend in Freeport. I must say, the Easter break was an eternity too short. I spent Friday doing nothing, and I celebrated my upcoming birthday on Saturday with the family. We went to Pizza Hut; yay for the Pepperoni Trio pizza! Then I came home and had cake, yay for cake. Then I opened presents. I got a new necklace to replace the one I lost during surgery last month. I also got a couple of computer games, some comfortable shorts (ones that I might actually wear), an Axe pack (makes me smell sexy to the ladies :-D), and a new cell phone (Yay for that!). Not that anybody will ever call me :-(. That's okay, it was a good pre-birthday celebration.

On Sunday, we went to church. It was relatively full, but of course, not full of youth (I wonder why?). Anyways, we came home and went over to my grandma's house for a family get together for Easter. I seem to enjoy those a lot more these days. I enjoy hearing stories and such of people I don't know and never will know. I also enjoy them because I get to see my niece. She's the bomb! She's getting pretty smart. She can make a valiant attempt to say her ABC's; she can count to ten; she can play Ring-Around-the-Rosie; she can identify colors. It's all cute as heck, because the words haven't fully developed yet. Black = "BACK", Green = "GWEEN", Purple = "POOPLE", and she struggles with the ever-so-popular "LMNOP" portion of the ABC's. Apparently, she's going to start dance or tumbling or something here in the near future, and she's only two. She can do the splits like a pro, but I didn't get to see it because she was too shy to do it in front of everyone. She started calling my mom "GRANDPA" now, so now she has three grandpas and only one grandma. She also drank all my Sunny D, and she chews gum already. She has a stuffed pig named Bacon, and she loves playing with her Nemo and Dory dolls that she got for Easter. She's so cool. It's a shame that they live in Iowa now. It looks like my sister got herself a pink Ford Probe, very...interesting.

So I'm going to go crazy for eight straight weeks of school. I could come home in the middle if I wanted, but I don't know if I will or not. Anyways, I hope a lot of people get online during break (not that they will because the jerks are all enjoying Myrtle Beach :-D). We'll just have to see. Later dayz!
