*sigh* well, I guess I'm not really sure what I should write about, but I know I should put at least something that's either happened or that I've been thinking about lately down on *digital* paper.
I am really enjoying the "40 Days to a More Generous Life" booklet that Pastor Doug invited the whole congregation to read. So far I haven't actually put very much of it into practice, but now I have some great ideas for ways to give to God first. Also, I have quite liked Jeff's study on Volition: Decision-Making and the Will of God. I don't know if it's the Holy Spirit leading me or just my mind wandering, but I feel like I could actually teach this stuff. I mean, Jeff did such a great job explaining everything and putting review notes on the paper every week. The DVC United Christian Club is pretty much my only outlet for such a thing, but I suppose my scared and selfish nature is making me timid to speak up and ask if I can give a lesson or whatever. I could either do it at the meeting (maybe not the best place) or at one of our upcoming "speech nights" (that don't have a name yet). The second seems like a much more realistic option, but we've been focusing on videos that have very different topics, so I didn't get a chance to bring it up today. What was really cool though, was that we had another new guy, but this time he is from Australia! (I love his accent! lol.) He is also a wonderful story teller and he told us all about this amazing video (or true story) about a guys who was bitten/stung by like 5 jellyfish and somehow saw visions as he was dying on the way to the hospital and he gave his life to God just before he died and apparently he actually was dead for like 2 minutes and God let him come back to earth because he wanted to tell his mom about his salvation and try to help the rest of his family that had all walked away from God. Wow! I can't wait to see it. I think we're gonna watch it at Linda's house on Monday and then maybe show it at the event. I am quite excited.
Oh, last Monday I was able to spend like 4 hours with Melana and Isabel. And I even saw Bruno for a little while (he is usually working). It was a really great time. We drove over to Blick and got my tracing paper (FINALLY). Then after a couple of stops, we went back to her house and made mochas and dinner. Even though it was Chinese food, it was pretty good. Little Isabel was tired so she was having a bit of a fit at one point, but she is so adorable when she talks. *smiles* She is growing so fast! I can't believe it.
