Family Vacation in Spokane

May 29, 2010 20:48

It's been an amazing week. I've cried and I've laughed and I've hugged people. I am so happy for so many reasons, yet I am so sad to be leaving this place and these people I've come to love. *Sigh* My family arrived a little before 7:30 am yesterday and we had a great time at Riverfront Park. Emily and I rode the 1909 carousel. It was really fast and fun. I showed them the Spokane River and some of downtown. It was a lovely afternoon. I have really missed my family while being away at school. Today I took them on a walking tour of Manito Park. We had a great time and they all thought it was the most beautiful and peaceful park they'd ever seen. We even ate at the Park Bench Cafe which I could never find before. Turns out they put the sign inside when they close and that's why I never knew where it was! After that Emily was begging to go jump off the bridge. So we let her and video taped it with two cameras. She was so brave; didn't even hesitate at all. Tonight I took them to Mount Spokane Church and they really liked that too. This was the last time that I get to see Andy all summer. :( But we held hands during the whole sermon. :) I'm gonna miss him so much. He texted me after and said that he's gonna be hug deprived this summer; I agreed. I'm so glad my family likes him though. That is such a relief, especially that Daddy approves. When I was in the bathroom at church, Andy asked him permission to write me this summer. :) I think that helped put him on his good side. Later, though, Daddy did say he wanted to know when things get more serious. The thing is I don't think he realizes how serious it is already, and I'm afraid to tell him. I suppose it can and should wait until next semester. Then I can be open about how much I care about Andy.
