Revenge? LOL - A Tale About 15th Floor Octagon Building Scammers - "The Office of Mr Agbay"

Mar 08, 2012 19:33

Let me tell you about this annoying scam seminar I was tricked into going. And basically how I ~got back at the fucker. Well sort of. I'm not an expert on revenge anyway.

 =

First off, a person called me personally mentioned a "business opportunity" and that I was "referred to by friends" (Whoever this friend is -- I'm planning to kill, when I figure out who gave away my number...) ANYWAY. He sounded professional, a bit forward, which was annoying, and texted me numerous times with different numbers. He mentioned they wanted graduating students, hard working individuals for their "business project".

The same week I had another recuitment seminar with a reputable company owned by Mr. Ongpin (won't tell which, but he's pretty famous businessman). I had a LOT of things going on that week, but despite that I told the prior caller, Mr. Agbay, that I was okay with going to his vague "business project discussion". I never turn down a job opportunity. I went, seriously thinking it was an employment related seminar, BUT NO.

It was a scam. They didn't mention the company name (NU SKIN, or Pharmanex, or Synergy One or whatever they change it into at the time), because had I googled it BEFORE the fake seminar, I would have found on the FIRST PAGE that it was 100% a scam, MLM (Multi Level Marketing), Pyramid Scheme sort of gig.

Anyway I went to 15th Floor Octagon Building. When the fake seminar started I was sort of curious anyway, but looking back now, their presentation data was false on a lot of accounts, and they never mentioned the word "NETWORKING", which is basically what it is. They are marketing products Nu Skin products, Pharmanex LifePak health pills...which actually cost an outrageous price, to tell you the truth. They were way more expensive than going to a dermatologist and were more expensive than Olay (which my mom uses, and works fantastic -- she looks like she's in her 30s instead of 40s).

I must have looked plenty interested after their presentation, because they guy kept showing me around and introducing people to me, even showing me some people who came from the same province as me. I was chatty anyway, mainly because I am a chatty person, even with REAL job interviews. I asked a bunch of questioins, but whenever I got to ask him about the specifics, he would immediately say "mahirap i-explain" or it was difficult to explain. So I kept asking, and probably seeming interested to him. He mentioned they were into distribution, and in my field (industrial engineering) I sort of equated this to warehouses, deliveries, logistics sort of thing. It wasn't until he introduced me to people in their BARE AS FUCK "office" (basically a white walled room with tables and chairs, and no partitions -- basically not exactly what I'd call an "office") -- that I figured it out. I stayed pleasant by that time, but was actually annoyed that I was tricked into coming. I hate all sorts of networking down to my guts, because pyramid schemes are horrible scams, and ruin people's lives.

I really wanted to go crazy and be like...

BUT I REFRAINED!!!

They mentioned in the fake seminar that there was Php 12,600 payment, because ACCORDING TO THEM, if we were entering their "company", then we should experience the products too. Bullshit really, I was an intern in a telecommunications company once, and I never switched my line to theirs the whole time I was there. I felt stupid and annoyed inside that this person thought he could keep this charade until the end. So I let him set up a 2nd meeting.

That 2nd meeting day came. We set it up at 1pm. I woke up around 11:30 to find his text about our meeting. I replied yes 1PM. He must have been there for an hour, because I DID NOT REPLY to his calls. Somewhere around 1:30 I texted him I was still in the jeep on the way. So he waited. Until he must have gotten frustrated and left. Here is some documentation of what went on....

AFTER THAT I WAS LIKE

FEELING DANAERYS, IN SHORT!!!

LULZ. I'm so weird.

Then this text happened:

So I texted him back...

Then he did the typical sleazy way of saying he was not sorry for being an asshole. LIKE AN ASSHOLE.

UGH. THAT BITCH.

I want to bomb their place. THEN I'D BE LIKE...

It shouldn't take much. Where do you get bombs anyway? I want to hire terrorists.... BUT MEH. WHATEVER.

I'm fine being like this about it:

But of course I coudn't let the guy have the last say in it!!! He's a asshole and a moron, sure, but he had to be educated.

So I texted one last time:

HAHAHA. TAKE THAT, MR. AGBAY. I'm fucking fabulous.

I feel kind of bad about the younger people, i.e. freshmen and sophomores that don't know any better. I mean c'mon, I'm a graduating student and they roped me into going to the fake seminar... how much more those kids who are desperate to "help their families"?

They made it sound like a huuuuge opportunity. I saw some students in the place when I went there and they looked interested. I hope they don't buy into the scammers' bullshit. I really do hope they don't.

At least now I'm a little smarter, and I've warned all 25 contacts they asked me to write down for them. Hahaha. Who do they think they are kidding? Anyway, guys whoever reads my lame old blog, warn your families and friends about things like this. It's quite common, and they are really good at tricking people into coming.

They will say ANYTHING to get you to come, but unless they say the company name and you have googled it, don't say yes to anything.

Good day and take care guys!

To all scammers out there: HOW CAN YOU EVEN JUSTIFY ALL THE UNETHICAL PRACTICES YOU DO, AND FEED YOUR CHILDREN THE FOOD YOU GOT BY CHEATING PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR MONEY.

ALSO... THIS IS FOR YOU SCAMMERS:
