On paper, 21 x 15 cm, 60 folios with 17 lines of naskh script in black ink, headings red, occasional marginal commentary. 14 coloured anatomical drawings and 8 marginal drawings of organs. Floral lacquer binding with doublures decorated with floral motifs in gold on a red ground.

The Tashrih Mansuri (Anatomy of Mansur) is one of the most famous treatises on the human body. Written around 1400 and dedicated to Pir Muhammad Bahadur Khan, Mansur's work quickly became very popular and influential. The five chapters are: bones, nerves, veins, arteries, and complex organs. Beautifully drawn and painted they illustrate the muscles, nerves, blood vessels and intestines.
