So Dad took me shopping tonight, since I was running low on food, and I was out of kitty litter. Made a run to Barnes and Noble, where I ended up getting a number of books, including Animal Farm and the first three books of the John Carter of Mars series in one volume (which was a bargain book). We ended up heading to Wal-Mart to buy kitty litter and some more kitty food. I also wanted to buy some gamecards to get member status for Ariacus in Adventure Quest Worlds, but when I saw both the Diablo II Battle Chest on sale for about 19.96, and Diablo III for 59.96, I decided to buy them both instead. My grocery shopping didn't go too bad, and my net total wasn't too much, all things considered. After getting home and getting my stuff put away, I went right ahead with installing Diablo III, which I spent the good portion of the night playing for the first time.
I'm currently on a Level 10 Barbarian, and so far, I've rescued Deckard Cain, killed the Skeleton King (and got some nice sickles out of the deal, one of them a rare, that are my current weapons), and found the Stranger. I found the right Defiled Crypt on the first try, and was going to do some sidequesting in the other Defiled Crypts (in particular looking for the Dunhyld event) after taking down the Skeleton King before going ahead and taking up the quest for the three pieces of the Stranger's Sword when my computer's internet connection, being a dick as usual, decided to dump me out of the game with a DC. So far, I've only died once, and that was to an Unburied elite pack (I hate those things already) during my cathedral run before returning for revenge. All in all, not a bad first night.
