Well, so much for taking out Ledgermayne before Nano...
So I was hoping to get Ledgermayne finished off this Friday so that I could take a break from AQ Worlds and get cracking on my Nano next week. Turns out that shit ain't happening -- because Artix Entertainment has decided to spring a war on us this Friday instead of the Ledgermayne battle and wrapup of this chapter of the Chaos saga that I was hoping for.
Here's the lowdown, according to the latest Design Notes for AQW:
Rumors are spreading that a Vampire Lord is gathering an army of monsters. We believe they intend to stage a full out assault on the town of BattleOn within the next 6 days. Warlic commented on the increasingly worrysome situation, "Interesting. The pathway of mist that connects our world to the haunted town of Mystcroft only lasts during Mogloween. If this Vampire Lord's army is successful, they will create a strong link to BattleOn and suck it into the mist at the same time their town dissapears."
I was hoping to give Etheara a break come the start of November in order to focus on Alastor, but now it looks like I'll have to split my time between the both of them during the first week or so of Nano, since Etheara has both a vampire bent on taking Battleon with him and a Chaos Lord bent on destroying her goddamn world to worry about. My character is about as happy about this new development as I am -- which is to say, not very -- and is currently at work polishing her armor, doing sword katas, getting in touch with her allies and basically preparing for war.
And as for my other character, I'm still at a loss as to what the hell kind of plot I'm going to throw at him next week. All I know is that it's going to involve a lot of demonslaying.
