Got my RPG.Net, Nanowrimo, TV Tropes and Youtube accounts set back up (the last one was a piece of fucking aggravation due to Youtube apparently not recognizing my username when I tried to reset the password, and which was only solved when I hunted down the notebook which had my early passwords in it). Downloaded Open Office today because I definitely don't care for the way that this computer's version of WordPad is set up, meaning that I will be using that program for my Nanoing next month.
Also, I spent all night last night getting reacquainted with an old game of mine. I am, of course, talking about Runes of Magic, probably one of my all-time favorite MMOs besides Adventure Quest Worlds, and a game which I have spent a good year or so away from because my old computer had a bad tendency to lag when I played it. Now that I have a computer that can more than handle this game, I decided to give it another go. After waiting for what seemed like forever for everything to get updated, I fired the game up and was treated to
this awesome track as the login and character select screens came on. Ladies and gentlemen, it is good to be back.
Went ahead and deleted pretty much every one of my old characters, some of which I'm rather sad to see go -- Kyliera (my level 18/18 Warrior/Rogue) especially, since she's the closest of any of my characters to being a main like Etheara. I have started anew on Osha with a big badass-looking guy by the name of Valtaur, who I am going Warrior/Scout on (I've got him up to level 10 on Warrior and 7 on Scout so far). Still have to get mains on the Artemis and Reni servers, but I'm planning on starting up a female Knight/Rogue and a male Mage/Priest, in addition to creating at least one elven character, since the customization options on character creation are not helping my alt-itis when it comes to this game one damned bit.
On the AQ Worlds front, I took Etheara through today's two new releases. The first was Mogloween, which started with us helping out Queen Safiria and the three Cauldron Sisters, Double, Toil and Trouble, had us battling skeletons and werewolves, a pumpkinhead monster, an undead Michael Jackson, Moglinsters and a Super Moglinster, and ultimately had us battling the fiendish creations of one Dr. Voltabolt. The other major release was the Chaos Beast release, which had us entering the Para-Elemental Plane of Magic to take on the Mana Golem, which was originally intended for Drakath's purposes, but was co-opted by Ledgermayne to drain all the mana from Lore, a quest which had us battling Mana Imps and Mana Falcons and then all five of Arcangrove's major bosses in succession before facing down the beast itself. Since I am down to 50K on gold, I'm going to have to grind on the Dwakel ruins for a while until I can get enough gold to stock up on Evasion potions again. And then I'm doing another major solo series based on Mogloween, and if possible trying to take the Mana Golem solo as well.
