I enjoyed hearing your observations on the Angel caps. I never thought about Wes and looking alike but you are right in some screen caps it's hard to tell them a part.
Basically, the whole Wesley's arc is him slowly morphing into Angel, if you think about it. But I was surprised, that it was so visual even so early into the series.
I agree about Gunn and Cordelia, I've always thought it was a real shame that they pushed them so heavily in First Impressions, and then seemed to lose all interest in giving them scenes. They really had a nice spark
I wonder why they backed off so quickly. The interracial thing would be the obvious guess, but the very boring one. Plus, they didn't just stop hinting possibility of romance, they just stopped giving them any meaningful scenes at all. Things like that often happen when there is some comflict between actors, but there was never any rumor of that, as far as I know.
I did read an interview with the actor for Gunn talking about how once the writers told him of a possible storyline they were thinking of, he got really excited and started playing up the possibilities of that, and the writers then decided to back off because of that telegraphing where they were going, so now he prefers not to know storylines in advance. He never specified what possible storyline it actually was, but I've always suspected that was referring to First Impressions. It seems really short-sighted of the writers to nix the possibility because of the actors enthusiasm though, surely the actor playing up an interest in the other character is a *good* thing for setting up a new ship?
Good times. Yes, DB is really good at comedy, when he plays dork!Angel is very fun to watch. Also CORDY <3 before they assassinated her character she was so enjoyable. Why they did that?
