First of all, kikimay wrote wonderful ficlet on my prompt (which was: Drusilla visiting shanshued Angel): Beautiful Butterflies (PG-13). It's bittersweet futurefic, better than anything I could even hoped for.
There is amazing new author in Buffy fandom, aliceinkinkland. Couple of her latest stories:
Parent Traps (G) - After "The Gift," Willow, Tara, Xander, and Anya discuss how they’re going to raise Dawn without turning into their own not-so-perfect parents.
The first thing Willow says when they get to Buffy’s house is, “We need to make a chart.” <...>
“Actually,” Willow continues, “we need multiple charts-one for Dawn’s physical development, another for academic achievements, and another for feelingsy ones-you know,” she says, misinterpreting the group’s blank stares, “Like if she opens up to us about a crush or something. Or if she does something that really demonstrates her self-control.”
Somewhere Sharp and Hot and Shimmering (NC-17) Buffy/Tara scene in "Dead Things" goes a bit differently and leads to really kinky BDSM sex, where both girls are still in character.
In a way, it explores the theme, that I really would love to see in the show itself - what does it mean to be a good girl? (You know, instead of turning Tara into talking prop for Willow's arc. Good girls could be interesting, too, they are not just some boring cliche and convenient shoulder to cry on.)
And you absolutely must read (if you haven't done it already) feliciacraft's ficlet Lust at First Sight (PG), where Giles meets the love of his life.
Also, dragonyphoenix posted the new chapter of In a Corner of My Soul (PG-13), a rewrite of Season 1 with Giles a the Big Bad. It's the most inventive and convincing take on Dark!Giles that I ever seen in fanfiction. (Take a look, if you don't believe me. It's a great story, and it deserves more readers.)
Which reminds me, that it's the last 2 days to sign up for Summer of Giles.
And the last 2 days to make nominations at Sunnydale Memorial Awards.
