What My Seven yr Old Daughter Wants for Christmas
I'm being lazy...this is a cut and paste from an email I'd sent out =)
My 7 yr old daughter says she wants a cat skeleton for Christmas so she can see what they look like on the inside. And a deer head to hang on her wall. OK...I'm in shock and thinking to myself "honey, you're scaring mummy. Please don't scare mummy." LOL OK so I try to turn this into a healthy interest. I found a book on fossils and gave it to her. She LOVES it. Wants to be a paleantoligist when she grows up. Then I took it a step further. I let her watch an episode of Bones with me. There was a part where they had to cut open the skull of a murder victim. Logan (my 7 yr old daughter) was on the edge of her seat asking " Are we going to get to see the brain mom?" She was so upset that the episode we were watching was the 25th one. "You mean you watched 24 of these without me?!" Now she wants to be an anthropologist as well. Most girls her age want to be princesses or ballerinas. Not my little girl. I'm giving her some more fossil books and some fossils for Christmas this year. =)
