"Queen of Extemporaneous Speech"
So, I went to our little debate tournament today for extra credit--and it turns out I'm not as rusty as I thought. The Cal State forensics team was there (the same team that kicked Harvard's ass at Policy debate last year)--and I still placed 3rd in the tournament. I was thereafter recruited by the speech captain, and deemed "Queen of Extemp," because I am apparently not so lame at on-the-spot scientific speeches.
So, that was very nice. And my trophy was a giant colored origami crane, which I think is pretty nifty.
And I met a fellow libertarian who invited me to the Brea shooting range. He can get me free gun rental and everything. I think we'll become very good friends.
