Another whirlwind of a weekend at home. Friday, after classes, I caught a ride back to Markham with Tin Tin, who was heading to Mississauga to visit his cousins. The weather was terrible, the drive was slow, and I saw a car do a 360 and spin across 4 lanes of traffic before flying over the short (and seemingly useless) guard rail into a ditch. He was lucky he didn’t hit anyone as he careened across the 4 lanes on the 401. Made it home safe Friday night, then cancelled plans to get together for coffee with Melissa and Ryan on account of bad weather and the fact that it was getting late.

Saturday morning, dentist appointment early early. How I hate the dentist. Shopping at Fairview with my mom, then lunch with Justin and Mel. It was always good to catch up with Justin. He’s someone I really respect and admire. When I look at him, I know he’s going to be successful in life. He has that spark; that drive; that determination. And he’s got a great heart too. I remember him from back in elementary school - he was valedictorian when we graduated from elementary school. And he’s still a go-getter, staying ahead of the pack. He just got admitted to Osgoode, Western, and Ottawa for law school. He is going to make a fantastic lawyer. It’s nice to think about how much we have grown since we were care free kids running around the yard at recess.

Cynthia’s birthday extravaganza was a good time Saturday night. Dinner at Fred’s Not Here was absolutely delicious. Grilled calamari appetizer, seafood risotto entrée, and a dark chocolate mousse cake for dessert. I love love love Winterlicious. A little pre-drinking at the hotel, then the limo to Cantina Charlie’s. I wouldn’t recommend the club, but it was fun because I got to see most of the girls. There was a huge mess up with the limo on the way back to the hotel and I finally got home exhausted and frustrated at 4am.

Today was packed, as always. Did a few errands with my mom, some shopping, a little bit of work, and now I’m in Tin Tin’s car on the ride back to Ottawa, typing away at my health journals for my APA 2345 course on my laptop.

This weekend, I really missed Chris. Which is really really strange because I haven’t felt like that in a long long time. I haven’t thought about him that way in what feels like forever. And I’m not sure what prompted it, but I just can’t get him out of my head now…

Anyways, I have more important things to focus on. Midterms start this week and I have an interview with IBM tomorrow that I need to start prepping for.

i'm having one of those days... you know the type - the ones where you wish you were anywhere but where you are right now and doing anything but what you're doing right now in life...
