(no subject)
Its a weird hour to be posting, 8 am on a saturday morning but I am up & I wanted to post last night so whatever. I am really pissed off right now, like its amazing how annoyed I am people. There are a couple of reasons why. No one my age really seems to care about a cause. What they are doing is going off to flitty little things that wont make a difference 20 years from now. At 11 I am going to the Opera House to put up the exhibibits for the hate crimes museum, not because I have to, but because I want to do something good. They are the kids that volunteer to get the endorsed diploma, not to help another soul. And it just depresses me because I want people to be help one another. There are too many fucked up souls for us not to help. Yesterday I helped with the Special Olympics Basketball Team, which is surprisingly a lot of fun. There is ratio of about 1:1 Special Ed kids to Maintstreamers. Im the only girl helping so whenever I make a shot *joy all around*. I can steal well, and pass well lol.
Another reason why people are annoying me is the labeling trend. This one kid who sits behind me in German was talking about the whole emo thing and how he hates emo kids. I snapped at him, instead of wasting his time bitching about someone who hasnt done anything to him, he should be out there creating good music (hes a ska kid). He said yeah emo kids all cut themselves and anyone whoever cut is an emo kid. FOR CHRISTS SAKE IM NOT AN EMO KID!!! Hes like your a Hippie. And since I chose to vent about labels, I am a Punk for trying to rebel. When you label someone you set up preconcieved expectations of them. No one is going to be completely one thing. They cant, because I am not just a Hippie or a Punk or a Geek or a Theatre Kid or a Anything. I am just me and when someone puts me under one big umbrella of what I supposedly am it hurts my feelings that that person doesnt see any other part of me.
Last Complaint: The kids who bitch about stuff and dont make a difference. This one kid always complains about the government, but hes doing it to be an obnoxious kid who thinks its cool to just bitch about stuff and let it be. Be part of the Problem or the Solution. By complaining, the world isnt going to change. Go out and make a difference!!! It wont happen overnight but those people will have got off their lazy asses and helped something.
