Easter weekend
happy Easter to everyone ;]
this weekend was pretty interesting
friday night, me, justin, nancy, and adam had an adventure. we collected blankets and chairs and went on a mission to ramapo reserve to hike up the mountain and have a fire. we stopped at a food store to get some lighters, newspaper, and marshmallows. on the way out the door, we saw firewood, and contemplated whether or not we should buy it. while the rest of us were thinking, justin just picked up a bag and took it to the car, and we ran after him. stolen firewood in hand, we left the parking lot and started our journey. while we were driving, adam's car sort of stalled, but we didn't take the hint. we just kept on truckin'. we got to the reserve and parked way in back, near the trees. a security guard of sorts drove in with flashing lights and adam made up some story of the car being broken or something .. we didn't loook suspicious at alllllll in the back of the parking lot. he followed us out of the lot, and all the way up to oakland. despite popular belief, he DID follow us all the way into mike park's reservation housing area thing... which was very scary. finally, adam threw the security guard off by doing donuts around some cul de sac .. and we were off! we got back near the reserve and parked in a church parking lot.. then we draped ourselves in mexican blankets and RAN like bullets across the reserve parking lot and into the woods. we ran for awhile, until we were good and deep in the park. total outlaws - it was great. me and nancy messed with our cameras and took too many pictures, which was fun. since the lake we were going to is literally on top of the mountain, the whole hike was uphill. on our way up, though, DANGER STRUCK. we heard a siren-kinda noise in the distance, and I didnt think anything of it. i was busy trying to get my camera into night vision mode, when all of a sudden i hear everyone scrambling up the side of the trail into the trees. i ran after them, and we laid in the dirt for awhile, waiting for someone to come up and catch us. no one did, and we decided to just continue our hike. we FINALLY got to the top, and the lake was beautiful. the moon was almost full, and it lit everything up pretty well. there was some creepy fog all over, and if your name is nancy you think its lots of ghosts. the boys tried to start up the fire, and did an ok job at first. since adam's a former boy scout he decided he'd be the right man for the job, but i was semi-dissapointed in his work. i tried to get involved and help, but i mostly got dirty looks. nancy talked on the phone and watched.. she did it well, though. we got our fire started, and we really enjoyed it. we cooked marshmallows for a few minutes, but then aborted that mission because they were too sticky and weird. after awhile the fire started to die down, and it was time to leave. also, me and nancy's cameras died, and we couldn't go on without them. we kicked the fire's remains over the edge of the stone block we were on and into the lake. it sizzled a lot, and adam flipped a shit, but that was the story of the night. the hike down was really quick, as it was downhill. we slipped a little, but it was fun. we ran across the parking lot again in our mexican blankets, and we felt so good. so many things tried to stop us from completing the task at hand, but we fucking WON. we got to the top and had our freakin fire. so ha! in your face, security guard man. then we ate at a diner.
thursday night was quite interesting, too. after lacrosse, me meredith and gloria went to pleasure plus video or something on 46. since we were all porno virgins we felt it was time. me and meredith went in, since gloria's not 18 yet. it was quite an interesting place, and we kinda just wanted to get out as soon as we could. we grabbed a video and checked out... and came home to find that we had chosen a video of 8 different girls dancing. thats it. so instead we shared our own stories and had some laughs. damn us, we picked the wrong porn. how do u pick the wrong porn? somehow we did.. geniuses
saturday I went to the mall with nancy and we picked out some prom dresses. hopefully the right prom dresses..
then we went to some stores to find new bedding and stuff for her adult-icized room. i still say the stars should stay on the ceiling. but do i have a say? ... no. damnit, nancy, WHY?
