Top ten things I've learned about LA...
10: Although Gus is the troopiest trooper there is-- the 110 onramp is just a little much for him. LA, in general, is a little much for him.
9: Indy 103.1 is the best radio station there is.
8: You haven't had Mexican food until you've had Mexican food in LA (Nope, Mexico doesn't count.) Enchaladas verdas at La Abeja to be exact.
7: You might think you can avoid traffic by driving at 10pm, or even 3am. NOPE.
6: As locally blasé as you might have thought you've become... Mann's (and really all of Hollywood Blvd.) will turn you into a picture taking retard tourist every time
5: After a few days of hacking your lungs out... you get used to the smog.
4: If you're in LA, and you know someone in "the industry," you are in the industry. Scratch that. If you live in LA, you're in it. Period. Additionally, if you don't use said connections at every opportunity, you are either a noob or a jackass.
3: Parking ticket = death sentence. These guys don't mess around.
2: "Doing lunch" has very little to do with eating, and "getting together for dinner" is an all-night endeavor.
1: I finally understand what Randy Newman was talking about.

**disclaimer** these opinions might not reflect the opinions of anyone else... but that's what livejournal is for, right?
