He's been a little star today :) We woke up this morning and stayed in bed for a bit while Steve worked, then William settled himself to sleep for the first time in his cot. I'm so pleased :) I managed to get a fair bit of housework done today, he's slept in his cot 3 or 4 times throughout the day. Inbetween he's fed quite nicely and been "talking" to me and smiling away.
Now he's asleep on my shoulder, though occasionally wipes his snotty face on me lol. We've both had a rotten cold all week (his third in total!) and he's been fairly poorly. Glad he's feeling better now, though he's still got a little bit of a cough and snotty nose.
It's his first full day with cloth nappies too, it seems just as easy as disposables - I'm using the washing machine virtually every day anyway with the amount he throws up every day! We would have started sooner but he's been too small till now! They're ever so cute, he's got loads of different colours (even a cow print one) and they make his bum fat :)
I had a bit of a crisis over breastfeeding at the beginning of the week. His latch has been lazy recently, his wind has been bad and I just felt I couldn't cope. I think I was just a bit low in general and I'm feeling better about it now. It's still hard work when he wants to feed so often, but this might be because he's always been ill. We've decided to give him one bottle of formula a day - in the late evening when I struggle the most because he gets very fussy. Hopefully we'll try this tonight. I've doubled his infacol dose too to see if his wind improves.
We're going to try fitting the cot into our bedroom this weekend so we can get into a proper sleep/bedtime routine now he's proven he can self settle. It'll be a weight off my mind having him out of our bed too, though might lead to more disturbed sleep for me having to get up to feed him.
Hasn't time flown...his jabs are on march 2nd. not looking forward to that, but at least he'll be old enough for calpol then.
